The Prime Minister delegated the question to Minister Erjona Ismaili. In his speech, Këlliçi said that he had raised concerns about the licensing of this bank since January of this year.

Këlliçi stated that at a time when Albania is under non-stop monitoring by Moneyval, the country's banking institutions must show increased vigilance.

The Democrat said that with a simple search, one can see how monitoring authorities in Europe have raised concerns about digital banks. These concerns consist of cybersecurity or money laundering.

Addressing Minister Ismaili, Këlliçi told her that he has taken on the difficult task of protecting Edi Rama's bank.

 

"I have raised this concern since January of this year, regarding the licensing of Jet Bank. The licensing of a bank should not be seen as a formal process, as it has a very broad impact on the banking system. Our institutions must show increased vigilance when we are under the monitoring of MONEYVAL. We are not talking about an accusation. Today, Albania has become a base for dirty money and call centers that deceive citizens.

Eriona Ismaili has taken on the difficult task of protecting Edi Rama's bank. If anyone were to do some research, they would find that monitoring authorities in Europe have raised several concerns about digital banks. These concerns consist of money laundering or cybersecurity.

"I asked the question, is Prime Minister Edi Rama aware of the connections documented by European regulatory authorities, of citizen Oliver Hemmer, a 71.52% shareholder of Jet Bank," said Këlliçi.
