"Massacre with Protected Areas"/ Zhupa: We cannot turn Albania into

Democratic Party MP Ina Zhupa, in her speech at the plenary session, focused on the law on Protected Areas. Zhupa said that there are no longer any protected areas and that plans are being made to demolish them and make way for new construction.

Focusing on the European Parliament report, Zhupa said that this report also calls for the repeal of the amendments approved in 2024, to the Law on Protected Areas.

Zhupa stated that when the time comes to investigate this law, there will be no more protected areas left, so changes must be undertaken by the members of Parliament.

The MP said that Albania cannot turn into small dots of Mirela Kumbaro.

 

" There are no longer any protected areas and everywhere they go, they are destroying heritage without asking. For the first time, the EP report calls for the repeal of the law that the Assembly has approved, for the 2024 amendments to the law on protected areas. This law was brought to the Constitutional Court by the DP and you got a result of 4 to 4.

"We cannot turn Albania into small dots of Mirela Kumbaro. When the time comes for the investigation of the 2024 law, the protected areas will be deserted. The Parliament must intervene and abolish the mask that is being made in the Protected Areas with lighthouses everywhere without the need for permission ," said Zhupa./CNA
