Political scientist Ermal Hasimja said today that the Albanian opposition is in a situation where there is more space for small parties.

In a television studio, Hasimja stated that this phase also belongs to the Democratic Party's difficult effort to recover itself as a political force that previously governed the country.

Hasimja added that now it is more necessary than ever for the opposition to be united, as a way to influence the political rotation in Albania.

"A difficult attempt by the Democratic Party to recover itself, in the sense of what it was before. On the other hand, the opposition space has increased towards smaller and other parties. Consequently, each of them will try to create its own political capital. This, of course, also brings clashes. Small parties need to build a certain image. Some are willing to make some sacrifices, while others have the hopes of Peter Magyar, to be the only actors. These forces will create clashes. We want to achieve not only a unifying force, but a reason for unification, remembering that no party is perfect, but it is necessary if we want to change the governance in Albania", - said Hasimja. /CNA
