"We will look into this matter"/ Shehi: Small parties have stayed away

Politician Dashamir Shehi shared a critical stance today regarding the situation of small parties in the country.

Shehi said in a television studio that in the 35 years of post-communism, only large parties have prevailed in Albania, while smaller political forces must constantly fight to gain ground.

According to Shehi, while also self-criticizing, the main reason for this distance is the choice of political morality over interests.

"We will look at this matter because there are many political claims. That is why we are outside because we have stood by our political morality, not political pragmatism. Since the beginning of democracy, there has been only one political generation. It is me, Rama, Berisha and others. That's all we are! Democracy in 35 years is not a definitive, sustainable given. We must fight every day, in every election and constantly to gain ground. Autocracies are returning. I think that in the political race, new parties should be given a chance", - said Shehi. /CNA
