Lamallari in The Hague/ Important meeting at Europol headquarters

Minister of Internal Affairs, Besfort Lamallari, arrived this Wednesday at Europol headquarters in The Hague.

Lamallari held a meeting there with the acting executive director, Jürgen Ebner, as well as with representatives of Europol's specialized centers against organized crime and economic crime.

As announced through a post on social networks, the focus of the conversation was on further strengthening cooperation between Albania and Europol, especially in the fight against drug trafficking, criminal groups, human trafficking, financial crime and online fraud.

"Albania is at a crucial stage of the European integration process and is proving every day that it acts as a responsible and reliable partner, contributing to common European security with the same commitment as EU member states. The close cooperation of the State Police with Europol and the active participation in joint operations are concrete evidence of this commitment. We coordinate our work to take this partnership to an even higher level", the minister writes. /CNA
