Hundreds of cannabis plants cultivated/Brother and sister arrested in Vau i

Two people have been arrested in Vau i Dejës for cultivating narcotics. Citizens PP, 33 years old, and AP, 43 years old, brother and sister, suspected of cultivating 308 cannabis plants and seedlings in the village of Kroni i Madh, were arrested.

Meanwhile, it is reported that the headman of the village of Kroni i Madh and the forest ranger have been prosecuted for abuse of office. The plants and saplings were destroyed by burning, except for a portion that was seized as material evidence.

The services of the Vau i Dejës Police Commissariat, as a result of intensive field checks and investigations carried out with proactive methods, to identify and crack down on cases of narcotic plant cultivation, identify and arrest the perpetrators, finalized the operation codenamed "Monitoring".

During the operation, in the territory of the village of Kroni i Madh, a significant number of suspected narcotic Cannabis Sativa plants and seedlings were found cultivated, which were destroyed by burning, except for a portion that was seized as material evidence.

As a result of investigative actions, citizens PP, 33 years old, and AP, 43 years old (brother and sister), residents of the village of Kroni i Madh, suspected of being the perpetrators of the cultivation, were identified, arrested and put in handcuffs.

The materials were also referred to the Prosecutor's Office, where proceedings were initiated against citizens DD, 51 years old, headman of the village of Kroni i Madh, and NG, 56 years old, forest ranger, for the criminal offense of "Abuse of office".

Controls continue throughout the territory of the Shkodra district, with the aim of preventing, identifying and cracking down on cases of cultivation of narcotic plants.

The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor's Office at the First Instance Court of General Jurisdiction in Shkodra, for further action. / CNA
