The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, held a press conference today from the Blue House. Berisha accused Prime Minister Edi Rama of designing 523 resorts and hotels in the country's tourist areas.

According to the leading democrat, these investments will be exempt from taxes for 10 years.

Among other things, he stated that Albania is one of the few countries in the world where billionaires come and buy oil at a quarter of the price at which the Albanian farmer buys it.

"Edi Rama treats Albania as his sultanate, as a private property and his regime as a colonial regime against Albanians. The media have discovered the infamous book 'The File', in which Edi Rama predicts, has designed 523 resorts, hotels, developments in tourist areas.  Of which, as if it were his property, he exempts this entire gigantic infrastructure from taxes for 10 years. Is there any more savage exploitation than this? This is a typical colonial system. It has nothing in common with the fundamental law of the state, the Constitution, but also international investment law.

"Imagining the development of tens of millions of square meters of land in the most touristic areas, like duty-free airport boutiques, means establishing a system from which humanity has long been separated. Can you imagine? Albania is one of the few places in the world where billionaires come and get millions of liters of oil at a quarter of the price that the Albanian farmer buys. And now in his book, Edi Rama, kept secret from the Albanians, never published, lists 523 projects for development, construction in all four corners of the country," Berisha said. /CNA
