Rama/Zhupa's statement: The moment the government's irrevocable

Democratic Party MP Ina Zhupa has reacted to Prime Minister Edi Rama's statements in the "Financial Times".

Zhupa writes that Rama's language is not surprising, as long-term power creates the illusion that citizens must endure everything.

The Democrat states that when a government despises its citizens, that is the moment when its downfall begins.

Zhupa's reaction

The Prime Minister, tired of power, once promised "the Albania we love", today it clearly seems that Albanians have turned it into "Albania doesn't love you anymore".

The day has come for the prime minister to speak to Albanians in the language of 'fuck you'. In fact, it is no surprise. When citizens complain about corruption, the answer is "fuck you". When they protest about property, the answer is 'fuck you'. When they leave the country en masse, the answer is 'fuck you'. When they demand accountability for scandals, the answer is the same.

The problem is that long-term power creates the illusion that citizens have to endure everything. That you can despise them, ignore them, lecture them and they will still be silent. But political history has always shown that the moment a government begins to despise its citizens is the moment when its irreversible collapse begins. It is certain that Albanians today say “message received”!
