"Act like Starmer"/ Bushati: Rama is leading us to a dead end, there

Analyst Andi Bushati today focused extensively on citizen protests against the government.

Invited to 'Syri Tv', Bushati stated that Prime Minister Edi Rama has two ways out; withdrawing from his position or resigning, just like his British counterpart.

In the analyst's view, these are the only democratic paths, despite the fact that in Albania they may be considered alternatives.

"The first way out is an enlightened leader, who sees that a part of the people, even when not all of the people, is against it and says: "I withdraw". There are European prime ministers who have left for much less than that. There is a second way, which we saw today with the English prime minister. So, the party sees that you have become an obstacle and are leading the party to a dead end, and it is the party itself with a, let's say, fancy words, a coup d'état within the party, that takes you aside. These are very democratic ways. And unfortunately, we are not a democratic country, that is why such ways fail", -said Bushati./CNA
