Elisa Spiropali responded today to Prime Minister Edi Rama, regarding the stance that the latter shared in the extended meeting of the parliamentary group, when he said that some individuals have squeezed the Socialist Party, have been riding it well and good, and then they come out against it, confront it.
A direct message not only to Elisa, but also to many others.
But Spiropali responded to Prime Minister Rama today with her own stance, saying that Albania will have its own "agreement." So, we will have Elisa Spiropali's "New Albania."
Let the protesters who demand a new Albania say, those who are truly in the streets for many reasons, after 35 years of tiring transition, regarding issues of property, education, health, corruption, order, security and everything else, have the right to demand a new Albania.
But Elisa Spiropali, what new Albania does she want? Because Elisa has her own Albania. What is being protested today is Elisa's Albania. When did Elisa forget the day she left office as Minister of State? When did Elisa forget the day she left office as Speaker of the Parliament? When did Elisa forget when she was Minister for Relations with Parliament or Director of Customs? She took all these positions from the Socialist Party.

Spiropali and Erion Veliaj are the two main people who fought against the socialists in 2005. They fought the Socialist Party, and then Rama took them into the SP, made them MPs, made them political leaders, gave them offices. And from people in patched clothes, they turned into important personalities, holding the most important positions in the state.
Maybe the agreements she signed when she was at Customs, which were drowned by accusations of corruption, which dismantled every efficient customs structure that fought corruption? What agreement does Elisa want? The one with the incinerators, where her husband gave tenders to Klodian Zoto and Mirel Mërtiri?
What "New Deal" does Elisa want, now that she can 'become' our Prime Minister, since she has been Speaker of the Parliament, minister, MP, she has not left a chair unoccupied.
An Albania in the "New Agreement" with the old Elissa" would be more ragged than ever because it would be with the Elissa of MJAFT, of customs, the Elissa deputy, the Elissa socialist secretary, the Elissa minister, the Elissa Speaker of the Parliament. Albanians have paid hundreds of thousands of euros from their taxes; with salaries, expenses, bonuses, mandates, cars and bodyguards for this Elissa. And this Elissa of today's Albania asks us for an agreement for a 'new Albania'. This is beyond the height of hypocrisy!
This is the most disgusting move being made in politics, where some ragged segments of it seek to "recycle", supposedly in the name of a new Albania, taking advantage of a large group of Albanians protesting for their freedoms and rights. They are in the square, precisely to have a "New Albania", but without the recycling of political rags like Elisa.
The emergence of these figures who come into the political market and act as if they come from the world of wonder is nothing more than a simple and hopeless act, to be an active part of politics, to take advantage of people who protest, or to make a deal with the politicians and leaders who have taken them and thrown them away.
A New Albania cannot be made of old rags, including Elisa and anyone else like her./CNA
