Protests against the government/ Kalaja: Rama has lost touch with reality,

Activist and journalist Aulon Kalaja spoke today about the protests taking place in the country against the government.

In a connection with Syri TV, Kalaja said that these protests come at a delicate moment for Albania.

He further said that Prime Minister Edi Rama has lost touch with reality and "everything seems like artificial intelligence to him." Among other things, he added that Rama cannot accept the calls of protesters demanding his removal.

According to Kala, this is seen in his statements, where he said that he compares people to algorithms.

"I have been to protests, we have organized people to protest, I have been part of the protest that took place in the city of Fushë-Krujë and we will be part of all the protests that are taking place in the country because they are absolutely extraordinary protests that Albania is experiencing at a very delicate moment. What I wanted to say is that the prime minister has lost touch with reality. Everything seems to him to be artificial intelligence. Apparently he has a bunch of servile people who have already surrounded him and they are lying to him. He cannot see the protesters, he has a mania that when there are protests he cannot stay in the office because he cannot cope with the protest.

He is the kind of person who cannot face the call of Albanians who demand his departure because prime ministers generally in their third mandates, and even in their fourth mandates which is even worse, turn into monsters, he cannot accept this reality. And he leaves office, surrounded by people who tell him that Albania is flourishing and he has contact with three or four thousand people I believe in Albania who have good jobs, because the rest of the population is certainly suffering every day from poverty and from the extremes that are happening, because there is a very large disconnect between those who are very rich and those who are very poor. So the middle class is dying, it is dying artificially because they are already in the square. All the free professionals have come down to the square and the reading that the prime minister gave today was a reading, I must say, very terrible, of an extraordinary protest that has shocked and practically captured the hearts of Albanians.

"Comparing people to algorithms, comparing people to creams, comparing people to flamingos, comparing people to their facial expressions, which it must be said are totally inappropriate at these moments we are talking about, shows that you do not have the courage to read the protest and to look that call of the citizens in the eye," said Kalaja. /CNA
