The head of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, reacted a few minutes ago regarding the incident last night with the removal of the Israeli flag from the foreign embassy by a protester.
Balla expressed through a post on social media that the organizers of the protest should condemn this action and distance themselves, while describing it as a serious and shameful act.
"Every citizen has the right to protest and express their political views, but it is not in the Albanian tradition to violate diplomatic representations or symbols of other nations. The Albanian people are known in history for their respect for others and for protecting Jews during the Holocaust. The organizers of the protest, whoever they may be, must condemn and distance themselves from the grave and shameful act of removing and desecrating the flag of the State of Israel at the Embassy in Tirana by masked protesters during last night's protest," Balla writes./CNA
