"You are protesting"/ Rama's MP: Come to your senses and resign

Democratic MP, Xhelal Mziu, accused Prime Minister Edi Rama today of not leaving any legal or illegal instrument to taint the protest.

Invited to A2 CNN, Mziu said that it is absurd and scandalous that words come out of Rama's mouth while citizens have come out of their own free will to the square.

Mziu added that Rama should not attempt to use blackmailing instruments, but should come to his senses and resign.

"Albania has risen to resign and the prime minister is playing the role of the chief patronage figure who gathers the parliamentary group and puts pressure on them. He gathers the ministers and does the same thing. He gathers the deputy ministers and does the same thing. So, a prime minister who is not leaving any kind of legal or illegal instrument to dirty the protest. And the case in which he issued a letter today that is scandalous, a prime minister who points the finger that there are groups coming from his brother Vu?i?, or there are groups coming from Iran or others, it is absurd when they come out of the mouth of a prime minister, at a time when those citizens have come out of their own free will. So the prime minister should not try to dirty people, should not try to use blackmailing instruments, but the prime minister should come to his senses, resign and let Albanian citizens vote like all citizens of the region and Europe", - said Mziu. /CNA
