Zbulim i rrallë arkeologjik në Egjipt/ Fragmente papirusi nga vepra e Homerit në barkun e një mumjeje

Arkeologët egjiptianë kanë zbuluar një fragment papirusi me vargje nga "Iliada" e Homerit brenda barkut të një mumjeje të lashtë egjiptiane në nekropolin e Oksirinkut.

Ky është një zbulim i rëndësishëm që pritet të zgjerojë njohuritë e shkencëtarëve për praktikat e varrimit dhe jetën fetare në Egjiptin e lashtë, pasi është hera e parë që një tekst letrar grek është gjetur i ngulitur në procesin e mumifikimit.

Gjatë gërmimeve të kryera nga Instituti për Studime të Lindjes së Afërt të Lashtë i Universitetit të Barcelonës, një mumje që ishte varrosur gjatë epokës romake, afërsisht 1,600 vjet më parë, u zbulua, ndër të tjera, në qytetin e lashtë të Oksirinkut, tani El Banassa.

Mumja kishte një element të pazakontë: një papirus të vendosur në bark si pjesë e ritualit të balsamimit.

Në gërmimet e mëparshme arkeologjike, ekipi shkencor kishte gjetur tashmë papirus të shkruar në greqisht në vende të ngjashme, por përmbajtja e tyre ishte kryesisht ceremoniale. Deri më tani, një tekst letrar si “Iliada” nuk ishte gjetur kurrë në një kontekst të tillë.

Papirusi u analizua nga konservatorja Magdalena Munar, papirologia Lea Macia dhe Ignasi-Javier Antiego, profesor në Departamentin e Gjuhëve Klasike, Romance dhe Semitike dhe drejtor i projektit Oxyrhynchus. Profesori Antiego e identifikoi tekstin si një fragment nga Libri II i Iliadës, i njohur si Katalogu i Anijeve, i cili liston gjerësisht forcat greke para Trojës, një nga tekstet më emblematike në letërsinë perëndimore./CNA
