The friend of the writer Ismail Kadare, Thanas Dino, spoke about his relationship with the genius of Albanian letters.
Dino said on Erla Mëhillit's show that Kadare did a lot for his friends.
He stated that the writer took the bullet for his friends and, according to me, he has proven this several times.
"Sadik Bejko removed him from the mine and brought him to the light. The desert Sadik left an eye in the mine but he took it out, fought a great war with the rulers of the time and brought it to light. When the meeting of the editorial board was held and we were all criticized, and Ismaili stood up in the middle of the meeting and said: I take responsibility for Moikom and Thanas. If I hadn't told them not to write some of these things, they would not only not have published them, they would never have written them. He was a person who took the bullet for his friends, we lost a great person, that Albania has worked for 100 years to give birth to him, and such a person is no longer born", Thanas Dino confessed. / CNA
