Trump: I will consider a new plan from Iran very soon

US President Donald Trump has said he will soon consider a new plan from Iran. In a response to Truth Social, he also said he does not believe the plan would be acceptable, as according to him the Iranians have not yet paid a sufficient price for what he says they have done.

"I will soon review the plan that Iran has just sent us, but I cannot imagine that it would be acceptable, as they have not yet paid a large enough price for what they have done to Mankind and the World over the last 47 years ," Trump's post on Truth Social said.

Iran presented a 14-point response to a proposal from the US, the Tasnim news agency, affiliated with Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, reported a day earlier.

Tasnim reported that the US proposed a two-month ceasefire, but that Iran believes the issues should be resolved within 30 days and that negotiations should focus on ending the war rather than extending the ceasefire. Iranian officials have yet to publicly comment on the details of the reported response. /CNA
