US President Donald Trump has criticized the Iranian government for failing to reach a deal on its nuclear program. In his post on “Truth Social”, Trump published a photo with the caption “Enough with Mr. Nice Guy”, while he is seen holding a military weapon in front of a mountain where explosions are taking place.

At the same time, he calls on the Iranian government to hurry and decide "smartly," indirectly threatening that if this is not done, US and Israeli military operations against Iran will resume.

"Iran is not finding its way. They don't know how to sign a non-nuclear agreement. They better come to their senses soon!" his post reads.

Two months after the start of the war with the United States and Israel, Iran appears without an undisputed supreme leader, with power shifting towards the Revolutionary Guard, a fact that directly affects Tehran's stance in contacts with Washington.

The assassination of Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei on the first day of fighting and the elevation of his wounded son, Mojtaba Khamenei, to power marked a radical change in the Islamic Republic's power structure.

Although officially in charge, Mojtaba is said to be limited to ratifying decisions made by military and institutional officials, without exercising direct leadership.

At the diplomatic level, Iran is represented by Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi, while Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, a former Guard commander, also plays a key role. However, on the ground, the central figure is considered to be the Guard commander, Ahmad Vahidi, who is said to have played a key role on the night of the ceasefire announcement.

Tehran has presented Washington with a new proposal, which envisages gradual talks with the postponement of discussion on the nuclear program until the end of the war and the resolution of disputes over navigation in the Persian Gulf. However, the United States insists that the nuclear issue must be put on the table from the beginning. /CNA
