250th anniversary of US independence/ Trump will put his photo on the US

The United States government is planning to issue a limited edition of passports this summer to mark the 250th anniversary of the country's independence. According to official announcements, the new documents will include personalized artistic elements, including a large photo of President Donald Trump on the inside cover.

The passports will be surrounded by text from the US Declaration of Independence and the American flag, while Trump's signature is expected to be embossed in gold. A separate page will feature a classic painting of the founding fathers signing the historic document.

State Department spokesman Tommy Pigott stated that the passports will maintain all existing security standards, emphasizing that the US passport remains one of the most secure documents in the world.

This project is part of the "America250" festive program, which also includes other symbolic activities, such as sports competitions and public events in Washington.

However, the initiative is seen as part of a series of efforts to incorporate Trump's image into institutions and official materials. New designs for commemorative coins and monument projects are also reportedly under consideration.

Authorities have not yet announced the exact number of passports that will be produced, but have stressed that they will only be available for a limited period./ CNA
