Taxpayers are taken hostage at Irfan Hysenbelliu's resort

Irfan Hysenbelliu's Prestige Resort has been embroiled in a scandal.

Administrator Saimir Ndrecaj and 4 employees of the Prestige resort have held hostage 4 employees of the Task Force of the General Directorate of Taxes.

According to the Police, the arrested citizens are Sajmir Ndrecaj, 34 years old, administrator of the resort, and employees: Zaho Jaçaj, security chief Artan Kasa, and 2 security employees Hamid Sula and Bujar Agolli.

According to the police, these citizens were arrested after it is suspected that, in collaboration with each other, on 18.07.2026, they obstructed and kept locked up, for a considerable time, within the premises of a resort in Golem, employees of the Task Force of the General Directorate of Taxes, who were performing their duties.

This is a scandal in which administrator Sajmir Ndrecaj and employees of Irfan Hysenbelliu's Prestige resort have held Tax officials hostage.

We recall that Irfan Hysenbelliu is a "problematic businessman" for tax authorities, especially since he does not pay taxes and obligations to the state.

Hysenbelliu had long since launched a battle, a campaign of attacks against Tax officials who demanded that he pay his taxes like any other businessman or taxpayer. / CNA
