IKMT with an iron fist/ Fines the Gjikuria company for pollution in Palasa

The National Inspectorate of Territorial Protection (IKMT) has conducted an inspection in the Palasa area, where it has found violations of environmental legislation by the entity "Gjikuria".

According to the findings of the inspection team of the Directorate of Environmental and Water Inspection, the wastewater treatment plant was operating without a Type B Environmental Permit, a mandatory document for the exercise of this activity.

For this violation, IKMT has imposed an administrative measure with a fine and ordered the entity to obtain a Type B Environmental Permit, in accordance with the requirements of the legislation in force.

"In the context of guaranteeing the implementation of legality, the National Inspectorate of Territorial Protection conducted an inspection in the Palasa area in the Gjikuria entity.

The inspection team of the Environmental and Water Inspection Directorate found that the wastewater treatment plant was operating without a Type B Environmental Permit.

For this violation, an administrative measure of fine was imposed and the subject was required to obtain a Type B Environmental Permit, in accordance with the legislation in force", emphasizes IKMT./ CNA
