Changes from the Territorial Reform/ Minister reveals what will happen to

The Minister of Defense, Ermal Nufi, has shared a reaction regarding the debates on the changes that could be applied to the Lezha Region through the Territorial Reform.

As Nufi stated in a post on his social networks, the preliminary report does not propose the merger or unification of the Mirdita Municipality with any other municipality.

Nufi also emphasizes that the sole focus for Mirdita is developing the local economy, improving public services, and addressing the current challenges of this municipality, to make it more attractive to young people and investments.

Full reaction:

Not only as a political leader of the Lezha Region, but also as a man with strong and proud roots in Mirdita, which has been and will always remain one of the most representative regions of the Albanian national identity – TWO SHORT WORDS on the debate about the experts' report on the administrative-territorial reform:

FIRST: At no point does this report propose the merger or unification of the Mirdita Municipality with any other municipality. Therefore, there is no reason for the people of Mirdita to be concerned about interpretations that do not stem from the content of the document.

SECOND: For Mirdita, the point is not to dwell on debates about scenarios that the report does not present. What is important is to focus our energies on developing the local economy, improving public services, and creating more opportunities for the future of this community with extraordinary human, historical, and cultural values.

No one wins by denying reality! Mirdita, like many other areas of the country, faces economic and development challenges that have been known for years. But precisely for this reason we need more responsibility. We need more focus and energy on how to make it stronger economically, more attractive to young people, with more investments, with better quality public services and with more development opportunities. /CNA
