Journalist Lutfi Dervishi commented today on the citizen protest against the government on its 47th day.

Invited to A2 CNN, Dervishi said that this protest is one of the best things that has happened to Albania in the last 100 years.

According to the journalist, the protest has shown the failure of the Albanian political system and class, giving it another chance to change and improve the country's image.

"The protest has left the system and the political class in the fall, in the sense that it has given them a chance to change. The protest is one of the best things that has happened to Albania in the last 100 years. In the sense that it has also improved the image of the country. From what I have followed the international media, public opinion in very democratic countries has taken Tirana as an example, so much so that one observer expressed that in addition to the Copenhagen criteria that the country needs to join the EU, the Tirana criteria should also be introduced," said Dervishi./CNA
