The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, spoke to the media regarding the voting process for the DP's leadership structures.

Berisha said that the Democratic Party has never had a team like this in its history, in terms of formation, competence, political experience and professional achievements.

"Today we have a team that we have never had before. A team like this, in terms of competence, experience and training, is the best team of this party in all times. In this team there are personalities who have publications at the highest world levels. There are personalities with great experience in their fields and in politics. There has never been such a team in history. There is a large representation of young people and women. There is a proportional representation of all the potentials of this party.

"The candidacies presented to the National Council are incomparable with the previous elected ones. This is an ongoing process. We will await the results of the vote. There is a profound renewal of the political leadership of the DP," the chief democrat said.

Responding to journalists' questions, Berisha said that all candidates had been notified in advance of the proposals for the respective positions. He added that the DP is the only political force that guarantees transparency in the voting process.

"If there is anyone left who only found out in the hall, it is a surprise. There was a firm order to inform everyone in advance. I said that, in accordance with the statute, everyone will enjoy every right and will present every resolution. I have responded to Ilirjana for her request.
