"The one for strategic investments will be repealed"/ Rama reveals

Prime Minister Edi Rama stated at the intergovernmental conference in Brussels that the law on strategic investments will be repealed as part of the legislation's compliance with European Union standards.

Rama stated that the repeal of this law is something that has been agreed upon for a long time, as according to him it has fulfilled its mission.

Meanwhile, regarding the law on protected areas, the Prime Minister said that there will be no repeal, but only changes to the parts that are not in line with European standards.

"We need to repeal the law on strategic investments, which is something that has been agreed upon for some time because this law has fulfilled its mission. We have nothing to repeal about the other law, even though there was a resolution in the EP. We need to treat the law based on all European standards and we need to change everything that is not in line with European standards."

"The law on strategic investments will be repealed, while the law on protected areas is one of the best we have. It is the first for protected areas and we need to address specific parts that must be in full compliance with EU standards and for this we are working with the Commission. It is not a repeal but an approval with European standards ," said Rama. / CNA
