Balla loses hope: RTSH a big failure, a waste of money

The Chairman of the Socialist Party Parliamentary Group, Taulant Balla, has expressed criticism of the Albanian Radio and Television during his speech in the Assembly, describing the public television as an institution that continues to fail to meet expectations.

Balla said that, speaking as a simple citizen and not as a political leader or MP, he thinks that RTSH "continues to be a huge failure" and "a waste of money."

"Regarding RTSH, not as the group leader, nor as an MP, but as a simple citizen, I would like to say that RTSH continues to be a huge failure, a waste of money, and that despite the positive assessments of the Assembly, we must bluntly say that television is not rising to the level that we all wanted to see a public television after many directors have changed. I hope that the findings of the two committees, which are objective, this change in the method of parliamentary control this year is having effects. I am confident that the periodic parliamentary control will give us the appropriate assessments, but I have no hope that RTSH will be done," said Balla./ CNA
