The winter of great loneliness for Lulzim Basha/ The dismissed DP chairman, from scandal to scandal

Today are being held partial local elections in 6 municipalities of the country:Durrës, Shkodër, Dibër, Vora, Rrogozhina and Lushnja. But one detail has been noticed in this election. Lulzim Basha seems more abandoned than ever, and that the winter of great loneliness for the dismissed DP chairman seems to have no end.

While he claims to have the ?majority?, that the democrats are with him, that he is the future and other bullshit like these, the facts show that he is more lonely than ever. Lulzim Basha has no supporters, and this is shown by the fact that he couldn?t find the commissioners he needed for these elections.

In the Municipality of Vora, the voting process in 22 polling stations started without the Democratic Party commissioners. And this because of the absence of people. Lulzim Basha tried to bring commissioners from Tirana to Vora, which was rejected by the Central Election Commission (CEC), as they don?t belong to the same municipality.

The fact that Basha doesn?t have commissioners in Vora, was accepted by the head of the CEC, Ilirjan Celibashi, but also by the DP MP, Jorida Tabaku, who tried to justify the dismissed chairman, saying that ?we brought here trained young people?.

But it seems that the abandonment of Lulzim Basha has not started now. Sources for CNA.al inform that Basha?s abandonment started in 2017, when in the parliamentary elections there were no people for commissioners in Korça, but also in some other cities.

In 2017, Basha had in some Zonal Election Administration Commissions only e 2-3 members and only one observer. In many cities the seats belonging to the DP remained empty, as Basha was unable to find people. Also in the parliamentary elections of April 25, 2021, there were such problems with the lack of commissioners.

So while Basha claimed to win the election, he was in fact unable to cover the number of commissioners in all cities. The same situation is being repeated today. But if before this scandal was tried to be passed over in silence, today is being made a lot of noise. The issue has been mediated and made public./CNA.al
