Vitor Pereira's adventure in charge of Wolves is officially over. The English club announced the dismissal of the Portuguese coach after a heavy 3-0 defeat to Fulham, a result that came after a series of negative matches and significantly worsened the team's situation in the standings. With this defeat, Wolves dropped to last place in the Premier League, with only two points accumulated.

Vitor Pereira took charge of Wolves in December last year, with the aim of restoring stability and positive results.

In September, he signed a new three-year contract, a sign of confidence from the club's management. However, the results on the pitch did not reflect expectations. The team suffered 8 defeats in the first matches of the championship, showing shortcomings in both phases of the game, in defense and attack.

After such a disappointing start, the club's management decided to step in. In a short official statement, Wolves announced the immediate termination of cooperation with the Portuguese coach, while thanking Pereira for the work done during his stay.

Until a new coach is appointed, the team will be temporarily led by the current assistant coach and technical staff.

Meanwhile, British media are reporting several potential candidates for the job. The most talked about name is Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, who is free after leaving Besiktas.

The list also includes Erik ten Hag, who was recently fired by Leverkusen, as well as Brendan Rodgers, who resigned from Celtic a few days ago.
