OFFICIAL/ Inter leaves the Americans, the club has new owners

Inter has changed ownership, moving from Americans to Canadians. The investment fund "Brookfield" has purchased 100% of the shares of "Oaktree".

With this transaction, Brookfield becomes the new direct owner of Oaktree, and consequently also controls the Italian club Inter, which Oaktree had taken over in May 2024.

The transfer of ownership is part of a process that has been underway for several years. Brookfield bought a majority stake in Oaktree six years ago and now owns the entire fund, which is valued at around $11.5 billion.

Therefore, the current change is more of a corporate reorganization, rather than a direct change in the ownership structure of the Italian club.

There are no expected changes in the management structure at Inter, where Beppe Marotta will remain president.
