Rolando Maran is the new coach of the Albanian National Team. It is learned that the Albanian Football Association has chosen the Italian as Silvinho's successor.
Maran, born in 1963, is a respected name in Serie A, where he has over 250 games as head coach at clubs such as Catania, Chievo Verona, Cagliari, Genoa and most recently Brescia.
He is known for his record points record with Catania, 8th place with 56 points, and for his excellent defensive organization with Chievo.
His tactical philosophy is based on compact teams, block defense and quick transitions to attack, often using 4-3-1-2 or 4-2-3-1 formations.
