Paolo Maldini could return to football after a period away from managerial roles, while his name is linked to a new project in Turkey. The former AC Milan technical director has entered the radar of Fenerbahçe, a club that is preparing for significant changes in the management and technical structure for the upcoming season.

According to reports from Turkish media, a meeting took place in Milan between Maldini and Hakan Safi, candidate for president of Fenerbahçe.

Safi wants to entrust the Milan legend with the technical direction of the club, considering him the ideal figure to build a long-term and competitive project.

It is reported that during talks with Turkish officials, Maldini has expressed his desire to have an Italian coach at Fenerbahçe. The two main names mentioned are Antonio Conte and Stefano Pioli.
