Historic in Sweden! The team from the city with 1,400 inhabitants wins the title

Mjallby AIF have made history by becoming the first-ever Swedish champion in the top flight of football, Allsvenskan. The club comes from a small town with just 1,400 inhabitants, but has left giants like Malmo, AIK, Djurgardens and Gothenburg behind.

With 66 points in 27 games, 49 goals scored and only 17 conceded, Mjallby became a symbol of success built on hard work, community and dedication. The club's history dates back to 1939, and the central figure of the renaissance is Hans "Hasse" Larsson, the club legend who saved it from bankruptcy and returned it to the elite.

Under the guidance of coach Anders Torstensson, who has also struggled with health issues, the team achieved stability and consistent form throughout the season.

Mjallby had been a finalist in the National Cup in 2023, but this time they reached the pinnacle of success. Their triumph is an example that even small clubs, with a solid structure and local support, can achieve big goals.
