European Skanderbeg! The young men from Korça shine against Aston Villa

Skënderbeg U-19 team has achieved a great result in the UEFA Youth League, drawing 1-1 with Aston Villa in the first match of the second round, held in Korça.

The hosts took the lead in the 37th minute with Wilson's goal, but just four minutes later, Korça equalized through Ensar Beqiri. Aston Villa previously missed a penalty with Broggio in the 33rd minute, whose shot was stopped by the red-white goalkeeper.

The Albanian team showed character and resilience against an opponent with much more experience and potential. Skënderbeu had several opportunities to take the lead, but failed to score the second goal.

The 1-1 result leaves everything open for the return leg, which will take place on November 5 in England. It will be decided there which team will advance to the next round of the UEFA Youth League.
