OFFICIAL/ Kompany signs, Bayern "blinds" the Belgian coach

Vincent Kompany will continue to be Bayern Munich coach until the summer of 2029. The Bavarian club has officially extended the contract with the Belgian coach, entrusting him with the team's long-term project.

The decision was made after the positive results that Kompany has achieved since he took charge of the team in the summer of 2024. The former Manchester City and Belgian national team defender has built a balanced and efficient team, which has shown high stability in the Bundesliga and in European competitions.

In 67 games at the helm of Bayern, Kompany has recorded 49 wins, while in the league he has suffered only two defeats in 41 matches. His statistics are among the best for a new coach in the club's history, with an average of 2.51 points per game, a result that puts him just behind Pep Guardiola's period. These figures have convinced the club's directors to guarantee his continuity on the bench for another four years.

In an official statement released on Tuesday, October 21, Bayern confirmed the new deal that keeps Kompany in Munich until June 2029. Before the renewal, his contract was valid until 2027.
