Landslide in Librazhd-Prrenjas/Vengu: We continue to support the river dams

Minister of Defense, Pirro Vengu, in a press conference, focusing on the collapses and landslides on the Librazhd-Prrenjas axis, said that the river dams along Shkumbini continue to be supported.

Vengu stated that work is being done to prevent landslides and erosion damage.

In his press conference, Vengu also touched on the allocation of the conditional fund for Civil Protection. Vengu announced that the allocation will be made with a new approach in order to strengthen municipalities with weak financial strength.

The minister also announced that 10 million euros have been made available to municipalities for new projects.

 

"We will make a compensation package for damages in livestock and agriculture. The allocation of the conditional fund for Civil Protection is distributed with a new approach to empower municipalities with weak financial strength. For 47 municipalities there is a multiplication of funds, which have not had a financial instrument for years. 10 million euros for financing new projects at the disposal of municipalities.

"We continue to support the river dams along the Shkumbini, to be able to prevent landslides or damage from erosion ," said Vengu.
