"There is no February"/ Lamallari, on the initiative for youth: Crime

The Minister of Justice, Besfort Lamallari, participated in the presentation of the “S'ka Shkurt” campaign, an initiative supported by the OSCE, which aims to raise awareness among young people about the risks of involvement in illegality and crime.

In his speech, Lamallari emphasized that this expression is also related to an old Albanian wisdom, not to ignore the law and labor.

"Today, in the age of social media and the illusion of instant success, this expression sounds more relevant than ever. In a way, 'S'ka Shkurt' is the modern translation of this old Albanian wisdom; any quick path to 'success' that bypasses the law and effort ultimately leads you further from your dreams. Our commitment is clear: to build a justice system that intervenes early, that prevents involvement in crime, and that offers second chances for those who choose to get back on the right track," Lamallari said.

The Minister considered the prevention of youth crime as a priority of the Ministry of Justice's public policies. According to him, the greatest investment that can be made is to protect young people from the wrong paths and offer them real alternatives for development./ CNA
