''We launch the project with the EU for parliamentary

The Speaker of the Parliament, Niko Peleshi, received today in a meeting at the Parliament premises, the Ambassador of the European Union in Tirana, Silvio Gonzato.

In a post on social media, Peleshi shared footage from the meeting, while also announcing the launch of the multi-year "EU for Democracy" project, which aims to improve parliamentary activity.

"In the Assembly, with the EU Ambassador, Silvio Gonzato, the representative of the European Parliament Regional Office in Tirana, Tatiana Mrazikova, and the IDEA +7 team.

The acceleration of Albania's membership in the European Union is also being supported by the increased cooperation of the Assembly with the European Parliament and EU programs.

The launch of the three-year project "EU for Democracy", funded by the EU and implemented by IDEA +7, will contribute to increasing the capacities of the Assembly administration to strengthen parliamentary control and modernize parliamentary services", writes Peleshi./ CNA
