Prime Minister Edi Rama was also asked about the Balluku case at his end-of-year press conference. Rama said that neither he nor anyone else had entered into the content of the case, but said that when this issue goes to the legislative branch, they must definitely express themselves since the Mandates Council is not a notary's office or a prosecutor's office.
Regarding the file sent to the Mandates Council by SPAK for Balluk, Rama stated that if he himself were part of the Council, he would tell them to leave and return with a suitable file for the deputies.
The Prime Minister stated that the 16,000 pages of the file are not the product of the investigation, but have been included in the entire archive of the ministry.
Rama announced that the USB submitted by SPAK to the Parliament has not been withdrawn by any socialist MP or by Minister Balluku, so that no one would say that the information was obtained from the Parliament.
" Have you heard any word from the lawyer about this specific case? I don't believe it. Neither I nor anyone else has entered into the content of the case. Right now, it is on the path of the judicial branch, which the judiciary follows without having to stop at our door. When the case comes to our door, that of the legislative branch, then the legislative branch must express itself. It is not a notary of the prosecution. The Council of Mandates is not a notary office and the Parliament does not notarize requests that come in. It takes them and sees them. If I were in the Council of Mandates, I would tell them to get up, leave and come back with a file for the deputies, you cannot come here with a file with 16 thousand pages that you call evidence. Those 16 thousand pages are not the product of the investigation, they have no way of being a product. There are 16 thousand pages where contracts, studies, the ministry's archive have been inserted. A vandak with official documents. The USB brought by the prosecution has not been withdrawn no SP MP or minister has created any path to say that these people have brought it. The case, before it came to Parliament, was brutally entered the territory of the executive power with a scandalous request for suspension, unprecedented in world history. We have searched everywhere for a second one, but there is none. We will definitely take a stand on this in Parliament. Albania has so many things that have happened , "said Rama./CNA
