Shehaj: 35 years later, the corrupt are finally being brought to justice

The leader of the Opportunity Party and MP Agron Shehaj described the bringing of the country's corrupt politicians to justice, after more than three decades, as a historic change.

In a television appearance, Shehaj stated that he is not in defense of the fight against corruption, only that the political opponent is being fought.

Shehaj added that his party aims to collect signatures from hundreds of thousands of citizens who are in favor of justice.

"It is important that the voice of those who are honest and who are for justice is heard. Our goal is to collect thousands and hundreds of thousands of signatures of citizens who are for justice and not for the corrupt. The reason is that we must fight against all those who want to denigrate justice, stop the great change and write what is happening in Albania as injustice and not as true justice. 35 years later, another historical change is happening and finally the corrupt who have ruled Albania are being brought to justice. They often tell us why don't you join? Who should we join? Either you are for justice or you are not. You cannot be in support of the fight against corruption as long as it has to do with your political opponent, but no one can say that I am in defense only because the opponent is being fought", - said Shehaj./CNA
