Socialist Party MP Erion Braçe spoke today in a plenary session about the tragic accident in Durrës where two minors lost their lives and another was seriously injured.

Braçe states that the accident was "intentional homicide" and not due to negligence. He states that such events should not be normalized, adding that with the amendment of the Criminal Code, such acts as "intentional homicide" should be reformulated.

"Two families passed away today. Anyone who has children knows what it means to pass away your soul. Another is fighting for their lives. All as a result of a crime on a neighborhood street. The Penal Code or the Highway Code normalize such a crime. So the moral is that you can drink and get drunk, socialize, be prosecuted, but you will only get points off your license. If you have money, you pay double the fine and save your license. He is being investigated for violating traffic rules, drunk driving or leaving the scene of an accident.
