Catania is still in shock after the sexual violence against a minor girl who was gang-raped in a public area. The Italian authorities have 7 young people, including two minors.

The shocking event happened on January 30 around 19:30. The 13-year-old girl and her 17-year-old boyfriend were in Villa Bellini, right in the center.

According to the information of the investigators, the couple was molested near the toilet of the public garden by seven boys of Egyptian origin.

After harassing the 13-year-old, the group surrounded the two and pushed them into the bathroom. There, while five boys held the 17-year-old by force, two others allegedly abused the minor girl.

"Please, please, don't hurt me, let me go...", the minor addressed the aggressors.

"We asked them to leave me and my boyfriend alone, but they continued to touch me," she said again. The young woman managed to free herself and escape only after half an hour, with her lover she reached Via Etnea, the main street of the city, where she was saved by some passers-by who alerted the police.

Although the streets were filled with citizens and tourists for the start of the festivities in honor of the patron saint Sant'Agata, there were no witnesses to the violence.

Despite the shock, the couple managed to explain in detail what had happened and describe the attackers. The 13-year-old managed to identify three of the young men who attacked her./ CNA
