Gorozhup-Pogaj cross-border road opens/ Kurti: Priceless value, connects two

Today, the cross-border road connecting the villages of Pogaj in Has and Gorozhupi in Kosovo was opened.

The acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, wrote in a post on social networks that this road is the fruit of the Kosovo-Albania intergovernmental agreement.

Kurti writes that the investment amount is around 1 million euros, but the value is priceless.

Further, the acting prime minister says that the Kosovo government is interested in continuing other joint projects with Albania for the common border areas.

" The Gorozhup - Pogaj road is the fruit of the intergovernmental agreements between Kosovo and Albania. The investment amount is close to 1 million euros, but its value is invaluable, because it connects two communities that have historically been one, the villages of Gorozhup and Pogaj, which are united by family, tradition and daily life.

Our connection with Albania is historical and spiritual, national and cultural, and it must be increasingly physical every day. This road today, together with the Kërstec – Pakishte – Zapod and Dobrunë – Blinishte roads, are our concrete steps in that direction.

The project today also marks the successful conclusion of the agreement with Albania for the construction of three cross-border roads. The Government of Kosovo is interested in continuing and increasing cooperation with the Republic of Albania on other projects, which are very important for our common border areas.
