Kosovar and Serbian leaders clashed again at the Bled Forum in Slovenia.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Donika Gërvalla, expressed optimism that success can be achieved in the dialogue with Serbia, at least until the spring of next year.

The emissary of the European Union for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Miroslav Lajçak, agreed with this finding, who said that normalization can happen within a few months if there is will and commitment to implement the Brussels and Ohrid agreements.

"Yes, I completely agree. We know what needs to be done, we have the agreement of February and March and they can be implemented as soon as there is political will and commitment within a few months", he said.

Gërvalla further said that 2030 is a goal of Kosovo to prepare and integrate into the EU, hoping that the EU will not change the date of accession.

"We as Kosovo are ready, as a sovereign country, to decide our own destiny. We are optimistic that internal developments in Kosovo are good. Kosovo is ready to take on the tasks and to join the EU as a priority", stated Gërvalla.

The Serbian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ivica Dacic, intervened in the discussion of Gërvalla, mentioning the past agreements, while repeating the request for the establishment of the Association.

"We are constructive, we want them to participate, but first is the Association and before that we cannot move forward. We cannot avoid it", he said, "Telegrafi" writes.

Minister Gërvalla reacted to him, who said that with this approach there can be no forward movement.

"If you're looking for a reason not to move, there's always an easy one to find," she said.

The Serbian minister further said that the European Union must show what exactly Serbia must do to integrate into the EU.

According to him, it is better to say that "Serbia must recognize Kosovo in order to enter the EU".

“Kosova dhe Bashkimi Evropian janë dy rrugë të ndryshme. Thjesht na tregoni se çka duhet të bëjmë? A besoni se mjafton ajo që thuhet për kriteret? Nuk mund të jemi kaq naivë. Edhe Shqipëria i ka 100 për qind në pajtim standardet me BE-në, por ende nuk po ecën. Ndoshta më mirë të thuhet se Serbia duhet ta njohë Kosovën për të hyrë në BE”, ka deklaruar Daçiç./Telegrafi
