Erdogan-Putin meeting on September 8/ Here is what is expected to be discussed

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is expected to travel to Russia next week, where he will meet with his Russian counterpart, Vladimir Putin. 

The focal point of their conversation is expected to be the discussion on the revival of the Black Sea wheat agreement.

Erdogan may go to Russia on September 8 before traveling to India to attend the Group of 20 summit in New Delhi.

Erdogan wants to restart the deal, which allowed Ukraine to export wheat via the Black Sea and from which Russia withdrew last month, saying guarantees were not being respected and Russian exports of certain goods were blocked. 

Global wheat prices have been volatile since Moscow pulled out of the deal, and especially after Russia targeted part of Ukraine's wheat export infrastructure with drones./ CNA
