Dimal Basha has been elected Speaker of the Assembly of Kosovo, after 58 consecutive sessions in parliament.
Basha was elected with 73 votes in favor, thus ending the political deadlock in Kosovo.
In his first speech as Speaker of the Assembly, Basha stated that the Republic of Kosovo was built on sacrifices, where the freedom and state of Kosovo are above any vested interest.
"This institution is the heart of our democracy. Our republic was built with sacrifices where freedom and our state are above any vested interest," Basha said./ CNA
