The head of the Albanian Radio Television Board of Directors, Leka Bungo, is involved in another scandal.

Today we are bringing another fact, and this one is based on official documents published on the RTSH website.

On January 6, the Board of Directors of the Albanian Public Radio and Television held a meeting with several items on the agenda, one of which was the opening of the competition for the General Director of the institution after the vacancy created by the resignation of Alfred Weight. This is also an intrigue in which it is often suspected that Leka Bungo himself is involved after breaking off his bargain with his former director friend who had given him money before.

Immediately after the meeting on January 6, CNA also provided a document through official channels, which was published on the website "rtsh.al".

Unsigned document

This is the document, the first document that shows that Leka Bungo did not sign. According to our official data and sources, during the meeting, Leka Bungo became angry and left the meeting, and according to the minutes and audio that is kept in the archive for each meeting of the Steering Council, there were two absences, Leka Bungo, who left in anger, and Mevlan Shanaj, a respected actor, who was not in Albania and was excused for his absence from the meeting.

Of the 11 present, 9 of whom signed for the opening of the competition, while Leka Bungo did not sign. Also on the same day, this second document was published on the official website of RTSH, which has to do with the report of the Supreme Audit Office on the Albanian Public Radio and Television. And this second document shows that Leka Bungo did not sign.

So, in two documents, both published on the RTSH website immediately after the meeting on January 6 and the decisions made public, their publication was made online, transparently, where Leka Bungo did not sign.

But what happened?

CNA has made another observation on the official website of "rtsh.al" and it turns out that Leka Bungo has signed the same document dated January 6, 2025.

So, in the document above, as you saw taken from the official website, he does not sign.

We also highlighted the fact that there are minutes that he left the meeting, there is also an audio recording that he was upset, there was also a conflict with the members of the Steering Committee, who voted and opened the race with a majority vote, Leka Bungo left and normally had nothing to sign, but it turns out that he has already signed the document opening the race even though he was not present and against it.

In the second document published again on the RTSH website, where the first document has been changed, it appears that Leka Bungo has signed.

But in fact this is a forgery of documents because the first document has no signature, he was not present at the meeting, he left the meeting. Why did he sign?

Maybe he went to sign later, this question also arises, and of course he could have gone even later, but Leka Bungo cannot falsify either the audio recording or the minutes of the meeting that he abandoned and opposed the opening of the competition.

He can go and forge documents and add his signature, perhaps to get his salary, but the truth is that in the audio recordings and in the minutes, the head of the RTSH Steering Council opposed the opening of the competition and abandoned the meeting.
