Tirana Marathon/ Plan of measures for vehicle traffic on the weekend

The 9th edition of the Tirana Marathon will take place in Tirana. For this, the Police have drawn up a plan of measures for vehicle traffic during the weekend.

The restriction on vehicle traffic will start at 08:00 and will last until 16:00.

Meanwhile, on October 18, 2025, the "Fan Run Marathon" sports activity will take place, starting from "Mother Teresa" Square and continuing to the end of "Martyrs of the Nation" Boulevard, from 09:00 to 11:00.

Complete plan of measures drafted

Restriction of vehicle traffic for the smooth running and organization of the "Marathon Fan Run" sports activity, organized by the Municipality of Tirana, starting from "Mother Teresa" Square and continuing to the end of "Martyrs of the Nation" Boulevard, next to the "Reja" installation, on 18.10.2025 from 09:00 to 11:00.

Vehicle circulation will be as follows:

- On "Lek Dukagjini" streets, "Ibrahim Rugova" street, "Abdyl Frashëri" street and "Papa John Paul II" street.

At the intersection of "Abdyl Frashëri" street with "Ibrahim Rugova" street, forced directions in function of the suspension of traffic on the segment of "Abdyl Frashëri" street with exit to "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard.

- At the intersection of "Bajram Curri" Boulevard and "Ibrahim Rugova" Street, mandatory right turn.

- At the intersection of "Myslym Shyri" street with "Ibrahim Rugova" street, forced right turn.

At the intersection of "Ismail Qemali" street with "Papa John Paul II" street, forced directions in function of the suspension of traffic on the segment of "Ismail Qemali" street with exit to "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard.

The route of movement of urban line vehicles will be suspended along the entire "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard and "Mother Teresa" square, as well as on all road segments that intersect with the aforementioned route, as follows:

- Line No. 1/A "Selitë Kristal Qendër - Stacioni i Trenit - Allias" and I/B "Kodra e Diellit 2- Kristal - Qendër - Stacioni i Trenit - Allias" diverts to "Willson" square to continue on the return to "Sami Frashëri" "Myslym Shyri" "Ibrahim Rugova" streets and "Gjergj Fishta" boulevard, while the rest of the route to the intersection of the Ministry of Justice.

- Line No. 2 "Teg - Old Sauk - Zoo - Former Train Station" diverts to "Willson" Square.

- Line No. 3 "Kashar - Yzberisht - Qendër" diverts to "Kavajës" street at the intersection with "Ibrahim Rugova" street (Bank of Albania) and to "Flora" Cafe - "Mine Peza" street - "Durrës" street.

- Line No. 4 "Center - QTU - Megatek - City Park" deviates from "Karl Topia" square - "Zogu I" - "Fortuzi" street - "Durrës" street.

- Line No. 5/B "Institut - Center" deviates from "Karl Topia" square - "Zogu I" boulevard - "Fortuzi" street - "Durrës" street.

- Line No. 8 "Former Train Station - Center - Sauk i Ri/ Sauk i Vjetër/ Sanatorium - Teg" diverts at the intersection of "Elbasani" street - "Ismail Qemali" street - "Bajram Curri" boulevard - "Elbasani" street.

- Line No. 9 "Student City - "Jordan Misja" Street deviates at the intersection of "Elbasani" Street - "Ismail Qemali" Street - "Papa Gjon Pali II" Street - "Bajram Curri" Boulevard - "Elbasani" Street and the rest of the route "Zogu I" Boulevard - "Fortuzi" Street - "Mine Peza" Street.

- Line No. 10/A "New Maternity Hospital - Center - Former Aviation Field" diverts to the bridge of "Elbasani" road and the rest to "Kavaja" road at the intersection with "Ibrahim Rugova" road (Bank of Albania).

- Line 10/B "Center - Mihal Grameno -Center" diverts to the "Elbasani" road bridge.

- Line No. 12/A "Uzina Dinamo e Re - Sharrë" diverts on the way back to "Kavajës" street at the intersection with "Ibrahim Rugova" street (Bank of Albania) and the rest of the route is "Zogu I" boulevard - "Fortuzi" street - "Mine Peza" street.

- Line 12/B "5 Maji – Sharrë" diverts on the return to "Kavajës" street at the intersection with "Ibrahim Rugova" street (Bank of Albania) and the rest of the "Zogu I" boulevard - "Fortuzi" street "Mine Peza" street - Ring road - "5 Maji" street.

- Line No. 13 "Tirana e Re" in the clockwise direction will be diverted at the intersection with "Myslym Shyri" street towards "Libri Universitari" on the way back to "Willson" square.

-Line No. 15 "Kombinat - Kinostudio" to divert to "Kavajës" street at the intersection with "Ibrahim Rugova" street (Bank of Albania) and the rest at the intersection with "Unazë e Vogël" to continue straight (behind TO?).

- Line No. 16 "Green Line" to divert to the "Elbasani" road bridge and the "Sami Frashëri" road bridge.

The circulation of emergency vehicles and State Police will continue normally on all the above routes.

Restriction of vehicle traffic for the smooth running and organization of the sports activity "Tirana Marathon 2025", on 19.10.2025 from 08:00 to 16:00, according to the road segments as follows:

- In "Mother Teresa" Square, continuing along the entire "Dëshmorët e Kombi?" boulevard, "Gjergj Filipi" street, "Papa Gjon Pali II" street, "Ismail Qemali" street, "Dëshmorët e Kombit" boulevard, "Bajram Curri" boulevard, the intersection with "Elbasani" street, "George W. Bush" street, "Abdi Toptani" street, "Zog I" boulevard, "Bulevardi i Ri" boulevard, "Ded Gjo Luli" street, "Durrës" street, "Kavajës" street, "Myslym Shyri" street, "Jeanne D'Ark" boulevard from the intersection with the Tirana Court Bridge to the Taiwan Bridge, "Bajram Curri" boulevard from the intersection with the Tirana District Court Bridge to the Taiwan Bridge, "Ibrahim Rugova" street and "Lek Dukagjini" street.

Vehicle circulation will be carried out according to the movement plan attached to this order, as follows:

- In the Middle Ring Road, except for the segment of the Tirana District Court bridge to "Elbasani" Street, "Luigj Gurakuqi" Street, "Dibra" Street, "Barrikadave" Street, "Mine Peza" Street, "Kavaja" Street from the bridge to the technological school to the "21 Dhjetori" intersection. "Vaso Pasha" Street, "Ismail Qemali" Street, from the intersection with "Vaso Pasha" Street to "Sami Frashëri" Street, "Abdyl Frashëri" Street from the intersection with "Willson" Square to "Vaso Pasha" Street.

At the intersection of "Elbasani" street and "Jean D'Ark" boulevard with mandatory directions to the right and left respectively.

At the intersection of "Barrikadave" street with "Dibra" street, forced directions in function of the suspension of traffic in the segment of the "Small Ring" with exit to "Zogu I" boulevard.

At the intersection of "Zogu l" Boulevard and "Fortuzi" Street, forced directions due to the suspension of traffic.

- On the "Mine Peza" road, forced directions in function of the suspension of traffic on the "Durrës" road segment.

- At the "21 Dhjetori" intersection, forced directions in function of the suspension of traffic on the "Kavaja" road segment.

- On "Myslym Shyri" street with "Sami Frashëri" street, forced direction due to the suspension of traffic on the segment of "Myslym Shyri" street at the exit to the ring road.

At the "Vasil Shanto" intersection, forced directions due to the suspension of traffic on the segment of "Bajram Curri" boulevard.

- At the intersection of "Pjetër Bogdani" street with "Vaso Pasha" street, forced directions in function of the suspension of traffic on the segment of "Pjetër Bogdani" street with exit on "Ibrahim Rugova" street.

- At the intersection of "Abdyl Frashëri" street with "Vaso Pasha" street, forced directions in function of the suspension of traffic on the segment of "Vaso Pasha" street with exit on "Ibrahim Rugova" street.

At the intersection of "Adem Jashari" street, forced direction due to the suspension of traffic on the road segment with exit to "Ibrahim Rugova" street.

2.2. The route of movement of urban lines will be diverted as follows:

-Line No. 1/A "Selitë - Kristal - Center - Train Station - Allias" and 1/B "Kodra e Diellit 2- Kristal - Center - Train Station - Allias" is temporarily suspended.

- Line No. 2 "Teg – Old Sauk - Zoo - Former Train Station" diverts to "Willson" Square.

- Line No. 3 "Kashar-Yzberisht-Qendër" deviates to the "21 Djetori" intersection and to "Karl Topia" square.

- Line No. 4 "Center - QTU - Megatek - City Park" diverts to "Karl Topia" square.

Line No. 5 /A "Former Autotraktor Plant - Center" diverts to the "Elbasani" road bridge.

- Line No. 5 /B "Institut - Center" diverts to "Karl Topia" square.

Line No. 6 "Laprakë" diverts to "Zogu I" Boulevard

- Line No. 8 "Former Train Station - Center - New Sauk/Old Sauk/Sanatorium - Teg" diverts to "Elbasani" street, "Student City" roundabout.

Line No. 9 "Student City - Jordan Misja" is temporarily suspended.

- Line No. 10/A "New Marteniteti - Center - Former Aviation Field" diverts to the "Elbasani" road bridge.

- Line No. 12/A "Uzina Dinamo e Re - Sharra" diverts to the "21 Dhjetori" intersection towards the "Vasil Shanto" bridge and further to the palaces with arrows, the rest is temporarily suspended.

- Line 12/B "5 Maji – Sharra" deviates from "Zogu I" to the "21 Dhjetori" intersection towards the "Vasil Shanto" bridge and beyond the palaces with arrows, the rest is temporarily suspended.

- Line No. 13 "Tirana e Re" diverts to "Willson" Square and the rest to "Karl Topia" Square.

- Line No. 15 "Kombinat - Kinostudio" to divert to "Kavajës" street at the intersection with "Muhamet Gjollesha" street ("21 Dhjetori" intersection) and the rest at the intersection with "Unazë e Vogël" to continue straight (behind TOV).

- Line No. 16 "Green Line" is temporarily suspended.

2.3. The circulation of vehicles for mixed transport, technological and passenger transport (except for urban transport vehicles) is prohibited inside the large ring road on 19.10.2025 from 08.00 to 16.00.
