The two draft decisions proposed by the Socialist Party for the establishment of two special commissions have been made public, one for the administrative-territorial reform and one for the implementation of electoral reform. 

The following documents list the objectives of each of the commissions, their duration, and also their composition.

Specifically, the Commission for Administrative-Territorial Reform will consist of 17 members, of which 9 are representatives of the SP, 6 of the DP, 1 of the Alliance for Change and 1 of the PL. The names of its members will be determined by a decision of the Assembly. This Commission will carry out its activities within a 9-month period.

Meanwhile, the Electoral Reform Commission will have 16 members, of which 8 are representatives of the Socialist Party and 8 from other parties. The Commission will be led by two co-chairs, one from the Socialist Party and one from the Democratic Party.

The OSCE Presence in Albania, OSCE/ODIHR experts, the Council of Europe, experts from the Venice Commission, as well as representatives and/or experts from the EU and the US are invited to follow, provide assistance and technical expertise in the work of the Commission and the group of technical experts established under it. The duration of this commission will also be 9 months.

If necessary, upon a reasoned request, the Assembly decides to extend the term of the Committees' activities with a special decision of the Assembly. The two draft decisions proposed by the SP are expected to be approved at today's Conference of Speakers. /CNA
