We begin this message by expressing our most sincere condolences to the family of the late judge! We express our deep regret for the entire situation created after our father's statements. We publicly apologize for the words he said, which, as he himself admitted, were expressed in a moment of great anger and shock.

Despite the fact that justice has not yet reached a final conclusion on this issue, we do not want to use hate speech against people who exercise their duty and respect the ongoing legal processes. We are fully aware that threats cannot be justified under any circumstances, but we ask for understanding for the difficult emotional and psychological state in which our father was at that moment. We as a family fully understand the magnitude and sensitivity of this event, but we ask with understanding that the media avoid involvement in our family life as much as possible, since our father was questioned and published in extremely difficult moments and in a difficult psychological state. We wish that justice and peace prevail, and that God does what is best for everyone!

We recall that on Monday, October 6, Elvis Shkambi shot Judge Astrit Kalaja in the courtroom.

The incident occurred at the Tirana Court of Appeal, where Kalaja was judging a property conflict, to which the Shkambi family was also a party.

The decision given by the late judge was in favor of the opposing party, the Shkambi family.
