Aldor Nini, the owner of the company "Acromax" has started an unstoppable attack on CNA in all our social networks, claiming that we do not respect copyright.

CNA has provided viewers with a clear picture of what is happening in this orchestrated attack on free speech.

In an interview for CNA TV, the Chairman of the Albanian Media Council, Koloreto Cukali, says that this is not the first time that "Acromax" targets the media, to censor reports that conflict with political interests.

"This is an old practice already in Albania. Unable to change the narrative, because propaganda does this work, that is to say a propagandistic version of the truth. When they see that it is impossible to control it, they put all the mechanisms into play other censorship, one of these is 'Acromax'. This is an old story with 'Acromax', which in the name of copyright protection, de facto censors various media at certain times, regarding news of The problem is that political parties have made contracts for the protection of copyright. What can a political party protect? Every statement of the prime minister, every statement of a mayor, or the chairman of the party. One of the reasons given for censorship on 'YouTube' is because it is a television image. No! When the prime minister makes a public statement, that statement is public."

CNA listed 9 facts, how 'Acromax' has blocked our news despite not using footage from other media. According to Cukal, this does not constitute any violation on the part of CNA, but is an unfounded claim by 'Acromax'.

"I was very impressed. You made a news about something said on a television, without cutting any video from that program. This is news, there is no copyright infringement. De Facto has acted purely as a censorship tool and the suspicion goes that has gone to the service of the people who were affected by that news."

Cukali explains how the abuse scheme of Aldor Nini, who has registered the company in Germany, stands. The head of the Albanian media council calls on the media owners attacked by Nini to join together in a legal battle to protect free speech. 

"This company is registered as a foreigner, as a German company, so it has another access to platforms like 'YouTube'. A privileged access in relation to the Albanian media. It is precisely this privileged access that is abused and the Albanian media in general have no resources financial resources to open trials in Germany, or wherever 'Acromax' operates.

Practically, this company has acted and acts with impunity. I would have liked to see all the affected media, or a large part of them, affected by the activity of 'Acromax', come together and try to solve it legally, either in Albania or in Germany. 'Acromax' is just a tool, realtor. In all aspects it is real estate, even in the protection of copyright. It practically mediates between a platform and the parties who are interested in media censorship, which are generally the people with power and money. "

According to Cukali, Albania lacks the political will to improve media freedom.

Until Albanian politics finds the will to create the conditions for free and independent media, CNA will continue to denounce with facts and evidence any abuse, to offer the public the uncensored truths, unaffected by orchestrated attacks./ CNA
