Two Jet Skis have been blocked in Saranda after they violated the security perimeter, endangering the lives of vacationers.

They were also fined 500 thousand new lek each. The fine and the blocking of the vehicles come within the framework of measures taken for maritime safety.

Saranda/They violated the security perimeter, endangering the lives of vacationers, the Border Police blocks 2 watercraft (Jet Ski) and punishes the drivers with an administrative measure of 500,000 new lek.

Saranda Border Police Services have intensified controls and patrols along the entire coastline, with the aim of guaranteeing the safety of vacationers and enforcing navigation rules.

During patrolling in the Saranda Bay area, Border Police services found a watercraft (Jet Ski) that had entered the security perimeter, in the area where vacationers were bathing, endangering their lives and safety.

Also, during the patrol, in the Ksamil Bay area, another watercraft (Jet Ski) was observed that had entered the security perimeter, in violation of navigation rules.

At the end of the administrative actions, both vessels were escorted and blocked at the Port of Saranda, while administrative measures worth 500,000 new lek were imposed on the owners, citizens RA and RP.

The State Police appeals to users of watercraft and entities that operate them to respect safety perimeters and navigation rules, by not entering areas designated for vacationers. /CNA
